High School for the Gifted

My curiosity for technology began not with competition or awards, but with a simple question: how can technology make learning and communication more accessible to everyone?

Growing up in Ho Chi Minh City, I was fascinated by how mathematics, code, and logic could be translated into tools that solve real problems. Over time, this curiosity evolved into a clear direction-using artificial intelligence and engineering as instruments for social impact.

As a student at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, I found an environment that challenged me academically while giving me the freedom to explore beyond textbooks. I was drawn equally to theoretical problem-solving and hands-on experimentation, which led me to pursue research, build engineering prototypes, and initiate community-driven projects. Rather than seeing these paths as separate, I began to view them as deeply interconnected: research informs application, and application reveals real human needs that guide further research.

A defining moment in my journey was working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Learning Vietnamese Sign Language allowed me to understand firsthand how communication barriers limit access to education and opportunity. This experience reshaped my perspective on AI-not merely as an optimization tool, but as a bridge between communities. Since then, much of my work has centered on designing technologies that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability.

Today, my academic and extracurricular pursuits reflect this narrative. From developing AI-powered systems and autonomous robots to founding STEM education initiatives and cultural projects, I strive to build solutions that are technically rigorous and socially meaningful. Looking forward, I hope to continue exploring AI and computer science in an interdisciplinary, research-driven environment - one where innovation is measured not only by performance, but by its positive impact on people’s lives.

Academic Background

My academic journey has been shaped by a strong foundation in mathematics and science, combined with consistent exploration beyond the standard curriculum.
I am currently a student at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (2023–2026), where I have maintained a GPA of 9.0/10 throughout Grades 10 and 11. The school’s rigorous academic environment has strengthened my analytical thinking and encouraged independent inquiry, particularly in STEM disciplines.
Previously, I studied at Ngo Tat To Secondary School (2019–2023), graduating with a Grade 9 GPA of 9.2/10. During this time, I began participating in mathematics competitions and informal teaching activities, which laid the groundwork for my later leadership and mentoring roles.
I am currently preparing for standardized tests (SAT and IELTS) to further support my goal of pursuing higher education in an international academic setting.
